This course is aimed at boosting the technical level of Engineers through the understanding of advanced networking technology by providing the training to design, install and configure D-Link networking products. This course is fully practical orientated to provide the participants with the advanced knowledge of D-Link products. The Target Audience for this course is as follows:
· Hands-on practical preceded by the relevant theory sessions. · Case study designs and written test would be conducted after the training sessions. Day One Ø Registration Ø L2 and L3 switching: · STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) · IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol) · GVRP (GARP VLAN Registration Protocol) · VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol) Day Two Ø Routing: · RIP (Routing information Protocol) · OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) · ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network) backup · QoS (Quality of Service) Implementation.
Ø Case study: LAN/WAN design using D-Link products. Day Three Ø Firewall: o Load Sharing and wan failover, Port mapping for servers, o VPN (Virtual Private Network) · PPTP (Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol), · L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol) · IPsec.
Ø Written test and Course feedback.
